Our Philosophy
Zero waste. Zero leftovers.
A starter kit shouldn't be the beginning of a landfill. It should be the beginning of a practice. We build ours around three quiet promises.
01
Exactly enough
We calculate the precise weight of every material for a real first project. When you're finished, the kit is empty. That's success.
02
Tools that stay
Every implement is chosen from a maker whose work outlives us. Break-in wear only makes them better.
03
Nothing plastic
Paper, wood, brass, glass, linen, ceramic. Packaging returns to the soil or lasts a century.
Why it matters, quietly.
Walk into any hobby aisle and you'll find kits designed by procurement teams — five different plastic tools, a giant bag of powder you'll never finish, a laminated instruction booklet destined for the recycling bin. Half of it goes in a drawer. The other half goes in the trash. The hobby often follows.
We started Starterkit.se because we wanted to gift hobbies — not obligations. Every kit is designed with a first project in mind: one loaf, one repair, one painting, one morning of coffee. Enough to know if it's for you. Nothing left over if it isn't.
If the hobby sticks, you already own the good tools. We'll tell you where to buy the next kilo of flour, the next paper, the next thread — from the same makers we work with. No lock-in. No refills in plastic pouches.
